KiTEC
- Most versatile Pipe For Plumbing
KiTEC
pipe for cold and hot water plumbing
KiTEC composite
pipes are designed for 10 bar pressure at 60 degree C. Temperature.
For hot water application, kiTEC pipes are used up to 80 degree
C. temperature when the pressure is up to 4 bar. Maximum allowable
short term increase in temperature is 95 degree C.
Advantages for
Homeowners
Corrosion
Free
KiTEC's inner and outer
layers consist of either linear polyethylene (PE).
KiTEC is having, perhaps,
the best chemical and corrosion resistance of any plastic used
in the manufacture of plumbing pipes. The polyolefin family of
plastics - PE included - is renowned for it's toughness, long
service life and resistance to deterioration in the most extreme
environments.
On the other hand, when
metal or copper pipes are exposed to aggressive soil and water
conditions, they are susceptible to corrosion and pitting.
KiTEC's inner and outer
layer of plastic is unaffected by corrosive soil or aggressive
water. That's why you'll see KiTEC being used to re-pipe homes
where metal pipes have failed prematurely.
Clean
and Safe
Your entire KiTEC plumbing
system is designed to provide you with the cleanest drinking water
possible.
KiTEC's clean, non-corroding
plastic interior is resistant to deterioration in aggressive water
conditions. You needn't worry about odor, color or taste problems
arising because of the plumbing pipes in your home.
And given KiTEC's built
in permeation barrier, you have built in peace of mind that your
buried water pipes will not be permeated by ground source contaminants.
Quiet
Today's demanding homeowners
insist on quieter, more efficient plumbing systems. Noise often
associated with water hammer - that banging in the pipes behind
the walls - is a distant memory.
That's because KiTEC
offers the strength of metal pipes without all the noise. KiTEC's
unique composite construction reduces water hammer pressure and
the plastic layers reduce the noise. With KiTEC plumbing systems
you'll have no more shaking or rattling of metal pipes. It all
adds up to a quieter home
Better
Flow:
KiTEC's smooth inner
plastic wall permanently resists scaling and mineral build-up,
keeping water flow constant year after year. Unlike metal pipes,
you won't see a reduction in flow area with KiTEC. That means
homeowners can enjoy a constant water pressure throughout the
house, throughout the years.
Advantages
for Builders and Plumbing Agencies
Easy
to Install
Less
physical exertion: No more sweating joints every
few feet. KiTEC's convenient, lightweight coils allow you to install
a professional plumbing system quickly and efficiently. Installation
crews are less fatigued and larger coils mean less wastage.
Quick
to join: Need to
make a bend? Go ahead. Need to snake pipe around an obstruction?
There's nothing stopping you. When the system calls for a fitting,
you simply cut, bevel the pipe, connect with the end of the fitting
and tighten the nut for secure, long-term connections. It's really
that fast and simple. You need just 25% of the time as
compared to conventional GI pipes for completing the jointing
and installation.
Go
anywhere with KiTEC: KiTEC can be installed in walls
and ceilings or surface mounted. It can be supported horizontally
or vertically on 8 foot centers because its stiffness and expansion
rate is similar to copper's. KiTEC can be encased in concrete
or buried underground without additional protection because its
tough outer plastic layer resists chemicals and corrosive activity.
KiTEC's aluminum core provides a 100% permeation barrier against
ground source contaminants like fertilizer and pesticide.
Fewer
Fittings: KiTEC uses fewer fittings - almost one
fourth the fittings used in conventional system. Fewer fitting
joints means less chance of leakage and less liability.
It's not only designed
for better long term flow rates, the inner plastic layer is noncorroding
and won't pit, pinhole, or erode in aggressive water conditions.
KiTEC is designed to provide years of trouble free performance
in the toughest of conditions. Other pipes just don't compare.
Widely
Used
Today, 8 of the top
11 homebuilders in the United States are using KiTEC on new housing
developments. KiTEC is also being used by plumbers in thousands
of residential, mid-rise and hi-rise buildings throughout Canada.
In India, many of the reputed builders are proudly recommending
the use of KiTEC in their projects to the customers. Once you
see it in action you'll know why. You can bend it by hand and
it keeps it shape. And there's no need for pastes, solder, torches,
solvent cements or special expansion tools. With KiTEC, you'll
reduce installation hassles on every project.
