KiTEC For Water Supply lines

Lightweight and Strong

KiTEC's convenient lightweight long coils make water service line installation simple. And yet KiTEC has high-pressure ratings and elevated temperature ratings as well. Rated for 14.1 bar at 23o C., KiTEC provides peace of mind when it comes to water service pressure design and performance.

Excellent Corrosion Resistance

KiTEC's plastic layers resist deterioration in aggressive water and hot soil environments. Bury KiTEC directly in the ground or encase it in concrete without additional protection. It provides you with a longer service life compared to traditional metallic water service tubing that is susceptible to corrosion and pitting. *See IPEX chemical resistance chart for more specific data.

KiTEC for Chemical handling

Excellent Chemical Resistance:

KiTEC Piping System offers, perhaps, the best chemical and corrosion resistance of any plastic used in the manufacture of pipes. The polyolefin family of plastics - PE and PEX included - is renowned for it’s toughness, long service life and resistance to deterioration in the most extreme environments. In addition to this, with Aluminium layer it resists the swelling leading to very good chemical resistance for liquid hydrocarbons such as diesel, petrol, kerosene and fuel oils.

Low Expansion and Contraction:

Kitec’s aluminum core controls the amount of expansion and contraction in the pipe. In fact although KiTEC looks like a plastic pipe its expansion rate is very similar to copper’s so you don’t have to worry about building in costly and time consuming pipe offsets. In addition to this, while laying the pipe line on racks, particularly in case of industrial piping, the thermal stresses developed are very low resulting in lower stresses on supporting structure. No special clamping arrangements are required to be provided.

KiTEC Composite Pipes as Cable Conduits
Shielding effectiveness

KITEC COMPOSITE PIPES are very effective as conduit, specially for data transmission, telecommunication and signal cables. Its uniqueness is in its three layer construction, incorporating a welded sealed aluminium tube providing the very latest method of EMI screening covered both internally and externally with a layer of Polyethylene. This gives the product comparable strength to that of a metal conduit with the flexibility of a plastic conduit.

Shielding effectiveness (attenuation in dB) is a measurement of the ratio between the external environment field strength and that field strength measured after passing through any material. This is recorded in a logarithmic scale.

KITEC COMPOSITE multi layer conduit systems are designed to absorb and reflect emitted radiation from sources of interference.

The shielding effectiveness of KITEC COMPOSITE PIPING SYSTEM is highly effective throughout the entire frequency range, and will provide protection from interference for data, telecommunication and signal cables and is far superior in comparison to any other product currently available
